Public records published by the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (FINRA) and accessed on June 18, 2019 indicate that former Maryland-based M&T Securities broker/adviser Robert Ramsey, who has received a customer complaint, was recently discharged from his former employer in connection to alleged rule violations and is currently not affiliated with any broker-dealer firm. According to his BrokerCheck report, he has received one customer complaint and two denied customer complaints, and he was discharged from a former employer in connection to alleged rule violations.
In May 2019 he was terminated from his position at M&T Securities in connection to allegations he failed to follow firm policies concerning “signatures on account documentation.”
In 2013 a customer alleged Robert Ramsey, while employed at LPL Financial, made misrepresentations of facts and recommended an unsuitable variable annuity investment. The complaint settled for $58,000.
In 2007 a party of customers alleged Robert Ramsey, while employed at Infinex, represented that distributions from a qualified retirement plan “would be received tax-free” and additionally “that second holder was not present” when the account was opened. The customers sought $144,000 in damages in the complaint, which was denied.
